简介：The Ohio Valley Wrestling, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is a regional wrestling gym that has nurtured many professional wrestling talents over the years. Its alumni include iconic figures such as Brock Lesnar, The Miz, John Cena, Dave Bautista, and Randy Orton. Once a renowned finishing school for aspiring pro wrestlers, the gym now faces significant challenges in maintaining its relevance.
Al Snow, an acclaimed wrestler who adheres to traditional wrestling philosophies that emphasize storytelling, continues to hold on to his beliefs despite the struggles. However, even with the support of a dedicated few diehard fans, the gym battles financial difficulties week by week, barely managing to keep its doors open. The situation has become so dire that Al Snow is forced to sell a significant portion of the gym's ownership stake to a group of local businessmen including Matt Jones, who happens to be the most popular radio personality in the state of Kentucky.
With a fresh influx of capital from these new investors, the gym begins to see some much-needed improvements. However, despite the financial injection, it still operates at an enormous loss. The new ownership group has given Al Snow until the end of summer to turn things around and restore the historic institution's former glory.
The story follows the efforts made by Al Snow and his team of aspiring wrestlers as they navigate their personal ambitions and conflicts with each other. Through their struggles, they must come together to save this iconic gym before it faces the possibility of closing its doors forever.
