Gwangho, an enthusiastic and promising pitcher on his high school baseball team, found himself in a difficult situation when he wasn't selected by any professional teams after graduation. This disappointment deeply affected him, as it not only dashed his dreams of playing at the highest level but also strained his relationship with his teammates who had seen his potential and supported him throughout his high school career.
As Gwangho struggled to cope with this setback, his desire to continue playing baseball never waned. He began to feel increasingly isolated from his team members, who were moving on to different paths after graduation. The gap between their aspirations widened, leading to a sense of disconnection and loneliness that Gwangho found hard to bear.
In an attempt to find a way to stay involved in the sport he loved, Gwangho turned to Mincheol, a close friend from high school who also shared his passion for baseball but had different career goals. Together, they began exploring unconventional ways to keep their love for the game alive. It was during one of these discussions that they stumbled upon an idea: selling fake gasoline.
This decision marked a significant shift in Gwangho's life. While it provided him with a temporary sense of purpose and connection, it also introduced new challenges and ethical dilemmas. The partnership between Gwangho and Mincheol became a complex narrative of friendship, resilience, and the sometimes unexpected paths that can lead us when our goals seem out of reach.
