One evening, as they sit around their usual spot under the old oak tree, Amélie is recounting the chilling tale of Kandisha—a powerful demon known for her vengeful nature and terrifying powers. The story goes that those who anger or wrong Kandisha face dire consequences, often leading to tragic endings. As she finishes, Amélie looks around nervously; the air feels heavier than usual.
The next day, Amélie is hit hard by a series of events that turn her world upside down. Her ex-boyfriend, who had been stalking and harassing her for months, finally crosses a line he shouldn't have. In a moment of self-defense, Amélie responds with more force than she intended, and in the process, her ex is found dead at their local park.
Amélie can’t shake off the eerie coincidence; the legend about Kandisha seems eerily real. Frightened but determined not to let fear control her, she seeks out a way to appease or banish this vengeful spirit. As night falls once more, Amélie, Bintou, and Morjana gather again, their hearts heavy with worry for their friend.
Amélie decides that the only way to ensure justice is to confront Kandisha directly. With courage she didn’t know she had, she performs a ritual from an ancient text they found in Bintou's grandmother’s attic. The ritual involves reciting a long and complex incantation under the full moonlight.
As Amélie speaks the final words of the spell, a dark presence begins to materialize before her eyes. Kandisha appears in all her terrifying glory, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. Amélie stands firm, ready to face whatever comes next.
