He found himself alone, confined to this cold, dimly lit space in some part of Lithuania. His mind raced as he tried to piece together what had happened and how he could possibly be here.
The sound of heavy boots echoed through the warehouse, and a group of men entered, their faces masked but their eyes filled with a mixture of suspicion and determination. They approached Stephen with a mix of curiosity and hostility, their weapons at the ready. "We know you were involved in the kidnapping," one of them said, his voice steady yet menacing.
Stephen's mind flashed back to the chaos of events leading up to this moment. He had been part of a far-right group that believed strongly in certain political ideologies. Under their influence, he had participated in several operations, including what they claimed was the kidnap of Russia’s Foreign Minister. Now, it seemed, his past actions were catching up with him.
"They will execute the Russian Minister live on the internet in 90 minutes," one interrogator continued. "We believe you know where to find him. If you cooperate and tell us everything we need to know, maybe there's a chance for your survival."
